Recently, Kanab City has seen an increase in vandalism at Jacob Hamblin Park and the Ranchos Park. Trees have been damaged, chain nets at the basketball courts have been broken, playground equipment, tennis courts and restrooms have all been vandalized.
As a result Kanab City is using funds to make necessary repairs that would normally be dedicated to other improvements and projects. The increased vandalism is also putting a strain on the city’s Parks & Facilities Maintenance Crew. They are spending time cleaning and making repairs, which pulls them away from other duties.
We ask everyone be respectful when visiting Kanab City’s parks and facilities. If we all do our part, our parks and facilities will be enjoyed by our community members for many years to come.
