Tony and Tyana met online and it was magical. These two are just fun to be around, their attitudes and enthusiasm invite you to enjoy the day. Their energy is electric, watching this team was a delight.

According to Tyana, “We’re hard working and friendly. Well Tony isn’t that friendly, I’m the friendly one and he’s the worker. That’s why we work so well.” Of course, you had to read between the lines of the conversation and wiggle your way through all the camaraderie and laughter to understand.

Tony and Tyana love participating in community events, so as Kourtney Millard has organized Orderville’s Halloween party this year, they jumped at the opportunity, serving their mocktails and decorating their booth with a skeleton guzzling a florescent concoction to the delight of the crowd. The duo was taken in by Kourtney and invited to serve drinks at the Ponderosa Resort’s Christmas party. On their drive home they couldn’t stop talking about how much fun they had, that was the beginning of The Raven’s Rest custom beverage service. The couple travels to special functions in Kane, Washington, Iron and Garfield counties.

Interviewing these guys while they were working was a treat all on its own. One customer at the Orderville Farmer’s Market was Jon Lee, who bought his kids a drink and asked for a taste. There was a little whining, but he just laughed and said, “It’s the dad tax.”

Ashlee and Kaber Esplin, the coordinators of Valley’s Farmer’s Market, also stopped by. Alan Seilhammer is the Kanab’s coordinator so hats off to him as well. It takes special people who want to help the community, dedicating themselves to creating opportunities for entrepreneurs.

Shanna, Tyana’s mom, stopped by to treat her grandkids to drinks. They giggled and ran around, it was just a good time. Of course, Tyana, being the friendly one, was out of the truck to give loves and hugs to her nieces and nephews. “Orderville is my favorite,” Tyana boasted with a grin. “We don’t serve as many, but we know so many people, and my family is here.”

While she was out with family, I asked Tony if they liked working together. Without hesitation Tony offered, “I love working with her. She is good at what she does, talking to people. I’m good at establishing a pace and being efficient while maintaining the quality of our drinks.”

However, the beverage truck is not their only job. They both work day jobs as well. Tony has been a guide for Roam East Zion for five years, showing outdoor enthusiasts what life in our neck of the woods is all about. Tyana has been employed at Archie’s food truck in Orderville for four years. If you haven’t been there, you’re missing out and some great food.
