Bryce Canyon’s Ruby’s Inn offers cool retreat from summer heat

BRYCE CANYON CITY, Utah — Perched at a refreshing 7,600 feet at the entrance of Bryce Canyon National Park, Ruby’s Inn welcomes guests looking to escape the Salt Lake Valley’s oppressive heat with national park fee-free days, family-friendly rodeo nights, the Bryce Canyon Rock and Gem Show and more this summer.

“As the Wasatch Front heats up, we encourage guests to flock south to cooler temps, outdoor adventures and a full event lineup at Ruby’s Inn,” said Ruby’s Inn General Manager Lance Syrett. “People think that just because we are in ‘Southern Utah,’ it will be hot in the summertime. Since we are at 7600 feet, we stay relatively cool in the summer months. Guided horseback and ATV/UTV rides are right outside our door, along with our popular rodeo each week, and convenient access to special events and excursions in Bryce Canyon National Park.”

A scenic road trip just three and a half hours from Salt Lake City, Ruby’s Inn guests have unfettered access to Bryce Canyon National Park’s stunning red rock country, along with a variety of family-friendly events including: Bryce Canyon Country Rodeo - Wednesdays through Saturdays, now through August 22.

Ruby’s Inn Rodeo Grounds is home to the family-friendly Bryce Canyon Country Rodeo every summer. Spectators of all ages watch the bronco busters and cowboys display their skills as they perform in this authentic Western competition multiple nights a week.

Bryce Canyon Fee-Free Day August 25: The U.S. National Park Service (NPS) offers fee-free days - dates when U.S. citizens and permanent residents can enter parks that normally charge an entrance fee for free. These special days are a great opportunity to explore Bryce Canyon National Park without paying the usual entrance cost.

End of summer deal: Stay two nights or more and get 20 percent off per night between August 16 and August 27, 2026. Not available for all room types. Blackout dates may apply. (Max 5 nights)
