MACU celebrates 90 years with grant to local nonprofit

COLORADO CITY, Utah — Mountain America Credit Union (MACU) celebrated its 90th anniversary by recognizing Creek Valley Health Clinic as the Community Champion for its Colorado City branch and presenting the nonprofit with a $500 grant.

The recognition was part of a companywide celebration held at more than 100 Mountain America branches across Utah, Arizona, Idaho, Montana and Nevada. Community Champions were nominated and selected by credit union members to recognize nonprofit organizations making a positive impact in their local communities.

Creek Valley Health Clinic, which serves residents throughout the Kanab and Colorado City area, was selected as the Community Champion for the Colorado City branch.

Founded in 1936, Mountain America Credit Union now serves more than 1.4 million members through more than 100 branches in five western states.

As part of its anniversary celebration, the credit union recognized 31 Community Champions with $500 grants supporting organizations focused on health care, education, food security, youth development, housing assistance and other community services.
