The results of the 2025 Municipal Elections are in, and local city councils and mayors’ seats are - unofficially, pending a grace period - settled by the votes.
In Big Water, incumbent Mayor David Schmuker received 138 votes to opponent Vince Olson’s 23. Tara Chiasson and Jennie Lassen filled two empty seats, rendering votes in their favor - Chiasson with 87 and Lassen at 107 - shows of support without election consequences. The two-year city council seat went to James Lybarger over James Loyd, with 95 votes for Lybarger and 51 to Loyd.
In Kanab, Mayor Colten Johnson went unopposed, receiving 1047 votes with more pending. Of the Kanab  City Council election beÂtween Jessie Riddle (508 votes), Steven Shrope (626 votes), David Lane (438 votes) and Chris Heaton (1,008 votes), Shrope and Heaton took the two availÂable seats; however, this race had the potential to turn if enough grace-period votes arrive to make up the difference. Â

In Glendale, the Mayoral seat went to Jeremy ChamÂberlain with 117 votes over opponent Kade Iverson with 47. For the Glendale Town Council, candidate Marshal Cox received 87 votes, and the rest of the election was defined by write-in campaigns; LorÂraine Chamberlain received 24 write-in votes, Raleigh Franklin took 114 write-in votes, likely taking the secÂond vote, and Bruce Harris  received 77 votes. Â
Finally, in the Orderville Town mayoral election, Ray Spencer received 193 votes over incumbent Mayor Lyle Goulding’s 95 votes. For the two Orderville Town CounÂcil four-year seats, Tony Collins received 37 votes, Susan Esplin received 209 votes, David Johnson took 119 votes and Shanda Frost took 165 votes, making Esplin and Frost the probÂable candidates. For the one two-year town council seat, Robert Caruso received 174 votes and Alex Pavlides received 118. Â
Election results will be verified after a few weeks’ grace period to allow a margin of error in mail-in voting delivery. Further information is available at kane.utah.gov, or from the Kane County Clerk’s Office.
