Ceremony attendees were invited to sign the final beam along with project leads and prominent public officials.
Hospital CEO Kurt Loveless convened the ceremony, thanking those in attendance for coming.
Project leaders, prominent members of the public and observers of the event were invited to sign the final steel beam before it was craned into place and secured by the construction crew.
After introducing the teams from Hughes General Contractors and MHTN architects, Hospital CEO Kurt Loveless said, “I would like to thank our local Chamber of Commerce, Kanab City, Kane County … and most of all, I would like to thank our board. Without them, this project would not have made the progress that it has.” Vice Chair of the Board of Trustees Bruce Goldberger added, “We’re very excited to support our community and our hospital, and to meet the needs of people locally.”
The gathered project leads and public officials posed for a picture, after which those in attendance were invited to sign the final beam to be placed into the framework of the building. Once signing was complete, the beam was craned and bolted into place to the applause of the crowd, and the ceremony concluded with refreshments.
