The Pow Wow, held annually on the third weekend in August, celebrates the cultural heritage of the Kaibab Paiute people and feaÂtures a variety of perÂformance and sporting events intended to celebrate Paiute culÂture, promote healthy lifestyles, and encourÂage youth engagement. Saturday also feaÂtures a hand-game tournament, a tradiÂtional guessing and singing game played throughout Native communities in the Southwest.
