On April 23, 2025, the elementary hallway of Fredonia Elementary School transformed into a dazzling runway as Preschool and Kindergarten students proudly participated in the Alphabet Fashion Show. Organized by the ever-dedicated Mrs. Jeanne Crookston, the event marked a special milestone for her young learners who had just completed mastering the alphabet - learning the letter names, sounds, and even how to write them.

Held at noon under the bright spring light, the hallway buzzed with excitement as the preschoolers and kindergarteners, dressed as little princes and princesses, made their grand entrance. A bright red carpet was rolled out, framed with elegant stanchions on each side, setting the perfect stage for the little stars of the day. Mrs. Crookston’s careful planning and creativity were evident in every detail, ensuring each child had the chance to shine and feel proud of their accomplishments.
Adding a special touch to the celebration, each student wore a vibrant letter vest created by their teacher, proudly displaying their assigned alphabet letter. What made it even more meaningful was that many students wore the letter representing the first letter of their own names. To complete their look, each child also wore a handcrafted crown featuring their letter, symbolizing their mastery and pride. Their excitement and confidence lit up the hallway, making every moment feel magical.
Parents, relatives and family friends packed the hallway, their faces glowing with pride and joy. The atmosphere was electric as students from Grades one through six, along with school staff, teachers, and administrators, lined up to cheer on the young models. Cheers and applause filled the air as each student’s name was announced, and with beaming smiles, they proudly strutted down the runway, showcasing their growth and confidence.
Camera shutters clicked non-stop as proud parents and school staff eagerly captured every magical moment. The hallway echoed with laughter, cheers, and the joyful energy of a community coming together to celebrate the success of its youngest learners. The older students cheered heartily, turning the event into a schoolwide celebration of learning and community spirit.
As the show reached its grand finale, all the preschoolers and kindergarteners came together and joyfully sang the Alphabet Song. Their voices filled the hallway, and soon, the entire audience - parents, students, and staff alike - joined in, singing along with pride and smiles. It was a heartwarming moment that perfectly captured the spirit of the day.
What a truly memorable event it was - a celebration of learning, growth, and the bright future ahead for Fredonia Elementary’s youngest scholars. Congratulations to Mrs. Crookston and her amazing students for creating a day that will be fondly remembered for years to come!
