On the morning of January 8, Kanab City Police units were dispatched to a single vehicle rollover at or near milepost 62, just east of town.

A single vehicle with one occupant had hit the right edge of the highway during a white-out snowstorm and over corrected, causing her vehicle to roll onto its side.
The female driver was extricated by the Kanab Fire Department and transported to the hospital by ambulance with injuries.
The case is under investigation at this time.
Correction:
After publication, Kanab City Police Chief Tom Cram notified the Southern Utah News that his initial statement contained inaccuracies. Chief Cram clarified that the cause of the accident remains under investigation and has not been determined. He also confirmed that the driver was treated at the scene for minor injuries and released, rather than being transported to the hospital. We regret the error.
