Valley Music Department Head Robert Lacey reports on his program’s fortunes. “The students did really well. All the way around we had Superior ratings. The Ladies Choir qualified for the State Festival in April, as did Nyola Schreiner’s evocative offering of ‘Ave Maria’ by Caccini. The Chamber Orchestra got a Superior, but didn’t qualify. They’ve done a really good job at learning their parts and being musicians.”
