Valley’s 14-U unfortunately undermined in Panguitch RBI Tournament

The understaffed 10-player Valley 14-U double-band of brothers Justin and Weston Baird, also Hadley and Holden Harris, alongside their cousins Hogan Harris and Payson Harris, accompanied by Keenan Chamberlain, Korver Staples, Bronx Withers and Nicholas Robinson, opened the Panguitch RBI Tournament on Thursday, June 8, falling to the host Bobcats, 10-0, avenging their previous week’s Valley Rally loss, 11-1, by a 10-point margin! The Buffalos were missing the contributions of both Warren Spencer and Boede Cox, who were away in Mexico during the annual Cox family vacation on the Baja California Coast.

Friday’s action witnessed the thus crippled squad drop a duplicate 10-0 score versus the Milford Tigers in the morning and likewise later, 8-2, against the Bryce Valley Mustangs, thereby eliminating the Buffalos from the Championship- round contention on Saturday. Only the 10-U team is currently scheduled to play in the All-Star Tournament at Milford on June 23 and 24.
