Just after 1 p.m. on Tuesday, July 22, traffic was halted due to a two-vehicle collision on Highway 89A between Fredonia and Kanab. Local fire and police responded to the scene and began diverting traffic, pending ambulance and tow truck response.
Emergency Medical Response was dispatched from Kane County Hospital, with some locals expressing concern over jurisdiction questions regarding the Certificate of Need dispute between Arizona’s Department of Health and Kane County medical services.
While some eyewitnesses stated the individuals involved in the crash sustained only minor injuries, emergency responders did not confirm the status of the drivers and passengers at the time of writing.
