As an addendum to last week’s reports covering fire responses in the area, the Southern Utah News would like to rectify recent omissions in fire-related coverage by crediting the Fredonia Fire Department for their service.
One source close to Fredonia Fire said of the response, “They’re volunteers … and they were out there fighting the fire literally to exhaustion.” This was one of multiple fire incidents north of the Utah/ Ariz. border that the fire department has responded to on a volunteer basis, including with the presence of multiple fire engines.
