The Red Rock Studios Competition Dance Teams had an incredible time this last weekend at the Dance America Competition in St. George, Utah. Jenna Corry, owner and director of Red Rock Studios, said of the experience, “My heart is so full! What a great weekend! I loved seeing all our dancers out there shining on that dance floor and having so much fun! I am so proud of our teams! Red Rock really showed up!”

High Point Award - The Excite Team received one of the highest awards in the whole competition for earning the highest number of points in a category.
Sixty-two dancers from Red Rock competed in the solo, duet and team categories, walking away with high rankings for all of their dances. Dance teachers Jenna Corry, Brooke Szymanski, Leisel Pectol and Lyndsey Wulfenstein all agree that the time and effort is worth it, especially for moments like these.
Jenna added, “The biggest take aways are the fun memories and some fantastic smiles at the end of the day! That’s what it’s all about!”
Jenna truly embodies this idea as she promotes the theme “Dance and be happy” throughout her studio on a daily basis. Some of the highlights were:
Excite Team (Five to eight-year-olds): High Gold, First Place in Category, Overall Character Routine in Novice Division of all ages, Overall High Point in Novice.
Elevate Team (Seven to nine-year-olds): Gold, First Place in Category, Best Showmanship Award.
Express Team (nine to 10-year-olds): Platinum, First Place in Category, Overall Contemporary Routine in Beginner division for all ages, Judges Choice.
Excel Team (10 to 12-year-olds): Gold, First Place in Category
Extreme Team (11 to 12-year-olds): Platinum, First Place in Category
Iconic Team (11 to 12-year-olds): High Gold
Elite Team (12 to 13-year-olds): Platinum, First Place in Category, Best Costume, Judges Choice Award.
