Pigskin Predictions Week 2 – some questionable calls, upsets and a new weekly winner!

In one of our more interesting weeks of play, a new winner has emerged!

But who could this Champion be? I’ll tell you who it was not. It was not Dennis Brun­ner who managed 11 out of 16 correct (I know you’re a Pack­ers fan Dennis, so I’ll go easy on you, you’ve suffered enough this week with that em­barrassing loss to the Browns), nor was it Daniel Gilberg, who also managed 11 out of 16 correct (at least you beat your wife Daniel, that’s probably a rare feat in your house).

Closer to the mark were Danielle Ramsay, Becca Glover and John Hiscock with 12 out of 16 correct each. Glover edged out Ramsay and Hiscock for the second place prize for Week 2 however, just being 11 off of the tiebreaker to Ramsay’s 24 and His­cock’s 49. Congrats to you Becca, you won a $25 gift certificate from Lumber Plus! (Don’t share with Kerry, tell him he needs to start pulling his weight).

Our triumphant winner bested all of these pickers, with an impressive 14 out of 16 correct. Congratu­lations are in order for you, Darren Gif­ford, you have won the Honey’s Marketplace $50 prize for Week 2! In this case, you should spend it all in one place. Can I get a HOOAH!?

Tracy Hiscock wins our Ms. Irrelevant for Week 2. True, there were a few upsets and some question­able calls this week Tracy, but five out of 16 is bench-worthy. At least Tracy was lucky enough to be the only person to pick the Browns to beat the Packers, silver-linings huh? Better luck next week, spend your time riding the pine well and maybe do a little research before Week 3.

Jim Jesus saw the biggest fall in the rank­ings. How do you go from second place last week to 40th this week Jim? (Pro tip, quit bet­ting on the Raiders) The person who saw the biggest jump in the rankings was non other than our Week 2 runner up. Becca went from 30th place last week to second this week.

Shout out for the closest tie breaking guess goes to David Williams who was just two points off the tie­breaking total (I guess even a blind bird gets a worm every once in a while huh David?)
