Miss Kane County 2025: Once Upon a Time

The curtain rose on a magical evening at the 2025 Miss Kane County Pageant, where this year’s theme, “Once Upon a Time,” brought fairy tales to life in a celebration of talent, grace and community spirit.

The night began with a lively production number featuring all contestants dressed as beloved fictional fairy-tale characters, setting a whimsical tone for the evening. Contestants showcased a remarkable range of talents, from dance and singing to knife throwing, comedy, balloon art and sign language interpretation.

The elegant evening gown segment followed, with each young woman escorted by her father - or, in one case, by a friend helping out when dads work didn’t schedule out. Their poise and confidence shone as they walked the stage.

We say goodbye to our out-going royalty Kaylee Brinkerhoff, Sheridyn Hoyt, Beka Rogers, Ellarie Sloan, Emma Bartlet and Shelby Tullis. I want to remind them that although they no longer wear their crowns, they still can lead and shine wherever they go.

It’s always a pleasure to showcase the beautiful and talented young women of our county and get to work with them each to see their growth and leadership extend to new heights. This coming year will be no different, I’m sure. After all, a dream is a wish your heart makes! Let’s make those dreams come true.
