Lady Cowboys win Utah State Championship

Kanab's Lady Cowboys won the 2A high school girls basketball State Championship on Saturday night against the South Sevier Rams at the Sevier Valley Center in Richfield, 47-37. It was the team's first title since 1992.

Coach Klint Glover said, “The girls sacrificed and practiced hard. I asked a little more this year and they came along without much trouble. It wasn't always roses, but we all got better and got along.”

On their way to bringing home the state championship trophy, the Lady Cowboys also broke a state record of three-pointers made in a season. The record was 202. The ladies made an outstanding 224, which is the best all-time through 1A -6A classifications. Fantastic accomplishments this season, you crushed it! You make us proud to be Cowboys. Fabulous photos Jeremy Houston, thanks for capturing these inspiring moments.
