Kane County 4-H 2026-27 Teen Council Leadership

Kane County 4-H is proud to introduce the 2026–2027 Teen Council Leadership Team; a group of outstanding young people selected to take on leadership roles within 4-H and throughout our community.

The 4-H Teen Council gives youth the opportunity to move beyond simply participating in programs and become an important part of creating them. Throughout the year, these teens help plan, organize and lead experiences for younger youth, their peers and the community. From after-school STEM programs and summer camps, to healthy living activities, service projects and community events, Teen Council members are actively involved in making things happen across Kane County.

Through these experiences, Teen Council members learn how to work as a team, communicate with confidence, solve problems, manage responsibilities and lead others. They also participate in training focused on leadership, public speaking, college and career readiness and professional development; skills and experiences that will continue to serve them long after their time in 4-H. Along the way, teens build lasting friendships, develop a strong sense of belonging and gain confidence in who they are. Teen Council gives them a place to step outside their comfort zones, support one another and grow together.

The Teen Council Leadership Team represents what 4-H youth development is all about: giving young people meaningful opportunities to lead, serve, learn and discover what they are capable of. We are proud of the teens selected to serve this year and look forward to seeing the impact they will make in 4-H and throughout Kane County.
