Kanab student earns $500 savings account
Good grades have paid off for Alyssa Mosdell, a sophomore at Kanab High School. Mosdell has been awarded a $500 savings account as a regional winner of Zions Bank’s Pays for A’s program.
Laura Sherwood, manager of Zions Bank’s Kanab branch, announced Mosdell’s win during a branch presentation in September.
“Good study habits help lay the groundwork for future success,” Sherwood said. “We’re pleased to see Mosdell’s academic discipline, which could help open doors for her in the future.”
Pays for A’s rewards students who put in the effort to make their grades count. Mosdell was entered into the drawing by bringing her report card to Zions Bank. She was paid $1 for each “A” and received an entry into the spring scholarship drawing. Out of more than 1,800 entries, 18 students throughout Idaho and Utah were randomly selected as winners in their respective regions.
