Mrs. Chell’s kindergarten class traveled the short distance to Kanab to help decorate Zions Bank’s Christmas tree. The students had worked hard on handmade ornaments to put on the tree and were optimistic that they might catch a glimpse of Santa.

Students were greeted by the Zions staff and then sat down to sing a Christmas song for them. In the middle of “Rudolph the red nosed reindeer” Santa made an appearance! Santa talked with the wide-eyed students about all things Christmas and then invited them to each place their handmade ornament on the tree.
Next, Santa pulled a Christmas book out of his toy bag and read them a story about a bear who stayed up all winter just to see Santa. After that each student was able to sit on Santa’s lap and get their picture taken.
To end the festive afternoon, assistant manager Adina Jones handed out goodie bags to all the students before they left. Mrs. Chell’s class would like to thank Zions Bank for the absolutely magical time they had decorating and seeing Santa. Merry Christmas!
