FREDONIA — On SaturÂday, Feb. 28, the Fredonia Fire Department, with asÂsistance from the Kanab Fire Department, hosted a joint training operation at a local abandoned building generously donated by members of the Fredonia community.

These trainings are very useful for both departments because we rely heavily on each other during real-time emergencies. For some members of both departÂments this was their first exposure to the operations of a house fire. The trainÂing revolutions consisted of Rapid Intervention Team (RIT), initial attack, rescue operations and venting opÂerations.
We would like to thank Carmen and Bob Bradley for your donation and all the work put in to get the property ready for us to train. We would also like to thank the Kanab Fire Department for their professionalism and work ethic.
I personally would like to thank all the volunteers from the Fredonia Fire DepartÂment. Your dedication to duty and willingness to help the community does not go unnoticed.
Last but certainly not least we would like to thank the members of the community for the support you have given us over the years.
