Double homicide in Page, Ariz.; suspect in custody

PAGE — On July 5, 2026, at 11:30 p.m., the Page Police and Fire Communications Center received a report of two individuals that had been shot at a residence in the 100 block of 9th Avenue. When officers arrived on scene, they entered the residence and located an adult male and an adult female, both deceased from injuries sustained by apparent gunshot wounds. The suspect was unknown and not on scene when officers arrived.

The residence was secured and a search warrant was obtained. Investigators from the Page Police Department and Coconino County Sheriff’s Office then began processing the crime scene. Evidence collected compassion provided investigators with a person of interest who may have been present when the shootings occurred.

Investigators located the person of interest and interviewed him but did not initially charge him with any crimes related to the double homicide investigation. Investigators continued their investigation throughout the day and served additional search warrants, which resulted in additional evidence being collected. Late on July 6, investigators arrested and booked the person of interest for two counts of First-Degree Murder.

The Page Police Department is extremely grateful for the assistance provided to us by the Coconino County Sheriff’s Office, which is ongoing. Their involvement helped expedite this investigation and allowed us to charge the suspect and book him for two counts of First-Degree Murder.

We do not believe there is any remaining threat to the community, as the alleged suspect and the weapon allegedly used have been seized by law enforcement. This case is still under investigation, and more charges may be forthcoming.
