Haylie McQuivey shows great focus as she serves up a nice floater serve.
Savannah Bateman powers through the block with a great kill.
Hitters Ashlyn Houston and Kennedy Clark are both loaded and ready to go as they wait for the set from Anna Cutler.
The #1 ranked Parowan rams came to Kanab on Thursday and almost had them the first and second set. Kanab ended up losing two really close early games. In the third game, the Cowboys really dialed it in and smashed the Rams, keeping them to only eight single digit points. During the fourth set we played too cautiously and lost. Scores were 21-25, 23-25, 25-8, 14-25. We have been battling a few team injuries and hoping to get everyone back to 100 percent. We are working hard and hoping to get them next time.
This week Cowboys travel the long trip to Millard to face the Eagles in round two. Then Beaver comes to Kanab on Thursday. We will be highlighting Cancer awareness as we volley for a cure. Wear lavender or RED! and come cheer on your awesome Lady Cowboy Volleyball team.
