Kane County School District recently opened a beautiful, newly renovated cosmetology lab to the public and held an open house on June 27. The freshly established cosmetology program is made possible by a collaborative partnership between Snow College and Kane School District. Eighteen students from Valley and Kanab high schools have been enrolled in the program this year, and we expect to have all our available spots filled with new students next year.

We would like to thank Quade Johnson for leading the renovation project, transforming the Kanab Elementary School preschool building into a beautiful cosmetology lab. Also, a special thanks to Nikki Johnson and Stasha Hoyt for being our instructors. Kane School District has a Memorandum of Understanding in place for cosmetology hours to transfer to Paul Mitchell Hair and Beauty School, Evans Hair College, Snow College Richfield, or complete the course work at the Kanab Cosmetology School.
Kane School District is the only district in the state with a cosmetology program run completely by the district, independent of other tech colleges. If you are interested in a haircut or any of the other available services, the cosmetology lab will be open from 10 a.m. - 4:45 p.m., Monday - Thursday. For appointments call 435-644-6112; walk-ins are welcome.
