Cedar Mountain Fire crews deploy across the country to fight fires and exchange training

In the early weeks of June, Cedar Mountain Fire deployed an engine and a fire crew to assist in fighting fires in the Lassen National Forest in north­ern California as part of the initial attack.

Per local fire protection authorities, cross-department fire sup­port like this is an impor­tant means of fulfilling mutual aid agreements, sharing knowledge and best practices and building rapport between depart­ments.

This crew includes fire­fighters Braxtyn Hascall, Alex Osterhout, Hyrum Chamberlain and Engine Captain Shawn Adams.
