In the early weeks of June, Cedar Mountain Fire deployed an engine and a fire crew to assist in fighting fires in the Lassen National Forest in northern California as part of the initial attack.

Per local fire protection authorities, cross-department fire support like this is an important means of fulfilling mutual aid agreements, sharing knowledge and best practices and building rapport between departments.
This crew includes firefighters Braxtyn Hascall, Alex Osterhout, Hyrum Chamberlain and Engine Captain Shawn Adams.
