School Swag - Have a wardrobe to be envied by shopping for costly clothes at a fraction of the price. Every Wednesday and Saturday adult clothes are $1, and children’s clothes are $.50. Daily prices, also incredibly reasonable, range from $.50 - $5 for most items.

Fall into fall with the warmth of comforters and throws, sweaters and jackets, also all heavily discounted on special days. Watch our Facebook pages for daily posts about sales.

We’ve got cool costumes and wicked decorations for a howling Halloween.

And it’s not too early to start thinking about Christmas. Don’t ever spend $5 on a card again – we’ve got all your card needs (and who doesn’t love getting a handwritten card in the mail) for Christmas and every other holiday at 5 for $1. There is nowhere else in the world to purchase cards at that price. Stop in and browse our huge collection.

The Thrift Store volunteers have a few “Mini Miracles” to share. A wallet found within a donated purse had $200, and we were able to return the cash to the donor. A donated couch yielded an iPod with an engraved name, and being the small town we are, the owner was easily located. In a bag of men’s clothing, a wallet was discovered, and with the help of the police who ran the license, the wallet was reunited with the wife.

While we love Mini Miracles, take a few minutes when you donate, (between the hours of 10 – 3 Monday – Saturday), to check through the items donated.

When you visit, check out the new jewelry case with baubles and bangles from $1 - $5000. Yes, we have higher quality jewels for purchase at well below retail value.

Also check out our curio cabinets, with vintage items sure to please those who like to dust.

Kane County Hospital bought a portable x-ray machine and a portable mini-C arm for ER use with funds provided by your shopping done at the Thrift Store. Keeping visiting and shopping and finding treasures. Hours are Monday – Saturday 10 – 4 pm.
