Starting on June 28 the state of Utah will implement Stage 1 Fire Restrictions on all state and unincorporated private lands, as well as on BLM and NPS-managed lands, and the Dixie, Fishlake, and Manti-La Sal National Forests.

  • No open fires are allowed except in established facilities at campgrounds or day-use areas on public lands, or in fire pits at private homes with pressurized running water.

  • Smoking, except within an enclosed vehicle, trailer or building, a developed recreation site or while stopped in an area that is paved or free from dry vegetation.

  • Cutting, welding or grinding metal in areas of dry vegetation.

  • Operating a motorcycle, chainsaw, ATV, or other small internal combustion engine without an approved and working spark arrestor.

  • Discharging or using fireworks, tracer ammunition, or other pyrotechnic devices, including exploding targets.
