The Kane County Raising Kane Business Summit was held on January 14, 2022, after a year off due to COVID restrictions. Each year, in conjunction with multiple organizations including Kanab City, Kane County, the Kanab Chamber of Commerce and the Center for Education, Business, and the Arts (CEBA) hold the Raising Kane Summit to update the public on the economic outlook for the county.
Colette Cox, Dixie State University Business Resource Center Outreach Manager said, “Kane County business leaders were really excited to be back in person this year for Raising Kane, and the lineup didn’t disappoint. Highlights included hearing from the local tourism panel, being introduced to eight new Kane County business startups and hearing from keynote Brad Harker about the Growth Roadmap. Fourteen regional business support providers were at the conference to share their free resources with local business owners (see below). There is so much support for small business owners in our region from workforce recruitment and development to marketing help to growth and expansion planning. All business owners have to do is reach out.”

The business summit closed with keynote speaker Brad Harker, who livened the group with an
energetic and motivational speech about inspiring confidence, purpose and contributing at the
highest levels.
Pat Guerrero, Kanab Chamber of Commerce President commented on the summit, saying, “We
were pleased with the success of this year’s Raising Kane business summit! It was a great
opportunity for networking. We felt very informed, with a lot of information on our local economy
and business resources, and it left the attendees feeling inspired to move forward in 2022.”
