Dr. Isom grew up in Washington State and says she still considers herself a “Pacific Northwesterner at heart”. Even so, Dr. Isom has very quickly relaxed into her new role at Kanab Veterinary Hospital and fallen in love with the people she has met in our community, whom she says have “all been exceptional”.
Since early childhood, Dr. Isom was destined to become a veterinarian. When she was not out riding horses, devotedly caring for her dogs and cat, and raising FFA market animals, she absorbed herself in James Herriot books and the Animal Planet TV channel. A local veterinarian recognized Dr. Isom’s passion and talent for caring for animals, and through her encouragement and mentorship, helped establish young Breanna’s path toward becoming a veterinarian.
Dr. Isom’s veterinary skills and her devotion to the animals entrusted in her care are evident from the moment you meet her. As too is her compassion, not only for the animals, but also their human companions. Dr. Isom’s gentle, relaxed style, her excellent listening and communication skills, her thoroughness and follow through, makes her a strong member of our veterinary team. Kanab Veterinary Hospital is proud that Dr. Isom chose to join us!
In her spare time, Dr. Isom and husband, Zach, are avid hikers and campers. Strongly family oriented, Dr. Isom and Zach expand their outdoor adventures as often as they can to include family. They both love to immerse themselves in any community service projects. Dr. Isom and Zach share their home with a recued Corgi named Clark, who survived parvo as a puppy. They also have an Appendix Quarter Horse mare named Luna that has been a companion since Dr. Isom was a teenager.
