Kanab bids fond farewell as Dr. Bryson Hollingshead departs for St. George Revere Health

Rural areas have a special fondness for local physicians, and Kane County is no different - the citizens in a place like this can appreciate when a doctor or nurse chooses a smaller rural hospital. It is with that sense of community in mind that the people of Kanab and the surrounding areas express appreciation for the service of Bryson Hollingshead, DO, for his time and efforts here.

Dr. Hollingshead’s office recently sent a letter to each of his patients announcing his move from Kanab to St. George, stating, “It has been my great pleasure to care for you over the last several years … I have truly enjoyed serving the close-knit community of Kanab, and I have appreciated the opportunity to care for you and your families.” Per Hollingshead’s letter, he intends to remain with Revere Health, working at the Family Medicine clinic in St. George. Hollingshead’s colleagues in Kanab gave him a kind farewell, with many of them commenting on the good work he’s done on behalf of this community.

Dr. Hollingshead gave his endorsement to his colleagues here at the Kanab Family Medicine: “I hope you will continue to come to our clinic in Kanab and visit any one of my talented colleagues for your family medicine needs. Drs. Eric Root, Jonathan Bowman and Lance Allen are all highly qualified physicians who will be happy to assume your care.” Drs. Allen and Root are also Doctors of Osteopathic Medicine (DO), whereas Dr. Bowman is a traditional Doctor of Medicine (MD). Patients’ medical records will remain at Revere Health unless they authorize a transfer to another healthcare provider.

Dr. Hollingshead will begin seeing patients at St. George Family Medicine on July 17. Many of his former patients had compliments and commendations for him, with one former patient saying, “I would say Doc Hollingshead were worth his weight in gold, if he weren’t so fit and healthy a guy - at this point, he’s worth even more than his weight in gold! Stay well Doc, good luck in the big city!”
