Fredonia PTO’s annual Halloween Carnival a big hit

The Fredonia Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) recently held the annual Halloween Carnival that has become a big event here in Fredonia. The kids look forward to the haunted stage, the games and of course the candy and prizes! The kids all looked so cute in their costumes and they were so unique!

The event was a huge success as many families came to support and partake in the fun activities and booths. Many booths were set up by organizations from the Fredonia High School. The culinary class baked and decorated Halloween themed cupcakes to sell, the Seniors provided a free fishpond as a service to the community and the photography class took Polaroid pictures that the kids could take home. The Fredonia policeman had a booth as well! The girls from the Re-Creation Retreat also provided face painting and trick-or treating for the kids to enjoy! The PTO sold spaghetti dinners so that hungry families could fill their bellies while they were out and about having fun!

There were a few additions to the agenda that were not a part of the carnival in previous years. A new addition to the carnival this year was a silent auction of items donated by local businesses. Another addition was a coloring contest amongst the grades in the Fredonia Elementary School. The night was memorable and fun for all! Thanks to the PTO for organizing such a fun event!
