Farmers Market Spotlight: Denice Riggs - Bountiful Beautiful Life

Kanab local Denise Riggs developed a goat milk soap-making hobby after she started raising goats. She quickly fell in love with the craft and decided to start a business to reduce the surplus. She said, “Something that started as a fun hobby has turned into something I can help others with,” and that is exactly what she has done with her business, Bountiful Beautiful Life.

Riggs joined the Kanab Farmers’ Market when it first started back in 2021. She has been a loyal member ever since, her booth making frequent appearances. The items sold are goat milk soap, handmade skincare products, beeswax lotion bars, goat milk baths (shredded soap), bath salts and other farm produce. She has recently switched to using all-natural dyes and scents, and allows her children to create their own recipes. She purchases the essential oils from Arizona Soap Supply. It takes four to six weeks to cure the soap, with about 50 bars per batch.

The bars are sold for $10 each, $15 dish soap teacup, $25 dish soap teapot and $50 for a gift box. Riggs currently accepts cash, card and Venmo. She also has a website bountifulbeatifullife.com and an Etsy shop Bountifullifesoaps. Orders on the website can be shipped nationwide including Hawaii and Alaska.
