Thursday, March 23, was a busy weather day! Rain, snow, hail and wind buffeted downtown Kanab in alternating bursts, but for a brief time around 11:30 a.m. blue skies held sway and Aspen Gatchell’s friends, family, and colleagues turned out for an enthusiastic ribbon cutting and grand opening for her new business, Eagle Gate Title Insurance Company, located at 468 E 300 S, Suite 1.
Sponsored by the Kanab Area Chamber of Commerce, the event included a buffet lunch catered by Havana Cabana. The newly decorated suite was decked out with balloons and sombrero centerpieces, and featured a table filled with Eagle Gate branded items like tee shirts, baseball hats, calendars, notebooks, and more.
Chamber vice-president Ron Thomas welcomed the crowd, which included Kanab City Manager Kyler Ludwig and Kanab City Council member Kerry Glover. Ludwig and Glover both welcomed the new business, thanking them for contributing to Kanab’s diverse local economy.
Flanked by colleagues Ryan Day and Macrae Hepler from Eagle Title’s St. George office and new employee Katherine Ohlwiler, Aspen said, “We’re super excited to be involved in the community and thankful for the everyone’s support. We have everything you need for title and escrow!”
After the ribbon cutting Chamber president Pat Guerrero commented, “We’re always happy to welcome a new business to Kanab and excited that Eagle Gate Title is open, running, and ready to grow.”
