The Kanab Cowboy Cross Country team traveled to Enterprise for their penultimate region meet of the season. The course is a favorite of the athletes as it is mostly downhill and typically provides for some fast times for athletes. This year was no different.

Tyson Brinkerhoff led the boys by taking second overall behind Gage Smith of Delta. He was followed closely by Trey Castagno, fifth overall. Both boys ran seasonal bests over the 3.1-mile distance. Daxton Jones, just missing out on the top 10, and Jackson Clark also had great races bettering their seasonal best times. As a team the Cowboys ran really well and came away with a second-place finish behind the hosting Enterprise Wolves.

The Lady Cowboys had a similar day. They were led by freshman Kenidee Glazier, who met a personal goal by breaking 18 minutes, running a blazing time of 17:51, bettering second place over two and a half minutes. Brooklyn Bauer also ran an all-time best coming in second for the Lady Cowboys.

KHS Cross Country will be racing next at the Thunderbird Golf Course for their home race on Wednesday, October 5, at 4 p.m., and then travel to Cedar on Saturday, October 8, to face some tough competition from all around the state.
