On June 14, 2026, Wally Thomson, 88, passed away quietly in his sleep. He will be greatly missed by all of us. He spent all his adult years doing amazing things and dragging his family along, and boy was it fun. This included joining the Navy and serving on a submarine, drag racing, demolition derby, figure eight racing, stock car racing, sand bugging, Jeep rallies and starting an off-road tour company in Kanab. This is just a sample of Wally’s accomplishments.

Wally leaves his wife of 67 years, Suzanne, and sons Robert, Todd and Steve. He was preceded by his son Steve. He also leaves seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

The family is having an open house from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., Saturday, June 27, 2026, at 631 W. Vance Dr. in Kanab, for family and friends who would like to come by to say a final goodbye.
