Shirley LaVon Torgerson, age 83, died September 30, 2026, at her home in Fredonia, Arizona. She was born February 24, 1943, in Marysvale, Utah, to Lucy Howes and Heber L. Allred. She married Redell Torgerson on June 4, 1965, in Las Vegas, Nevada. They had six children.

Shirley is survived by her children: Tina, Paul Torgerson, Jim Torgerson, Jerry Torgerson, Cindy and Chad Torgerson; 16 grandchildren; 30 greatgrandchildren; five and one half great great grandchildren; six sisters and two brothers. She was preceded in death by her husband Redell.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 10, 2026, at 11 a.m. (Utah time) in the Fredonia Arizona LDS Church, with viewings on Friday, October 9, from 6-7 p.m. (Utah time), and Saturday, October 10, from 10- 10:45 a.m. (Utah time), both at the Fredonia Chapel. Burial will be in the Howe Family Cemetery in Marysvale later that day. Arrangements were made with Mosdell Mortuary.
