Martin Craig Hansen
March 8, 1954 – January 6, 2025

Martin Craig Hansen "Craig" passed away on January 6, 2025, in Florida at the age of 70 years old. He was a devoted and loving husband, father of five, father-in-law and grandfather of 22 children. Everyone who met him became his friend. He had a beautiful smile and a caring way that reached into people's hearts. He was always willing to help anyone in need.
He was born March 8, 1954, on the island of Guam, M.I. in the South Pacific, the third child of Richard Oliver Hansen and Elaine Hansen. Craig had two brothers, Garry (deceased) and Lynn, and a sister, Annette. He met his dear wife, Barbara, at BYU and they were married eight months later in the Los Angeles Temple on June 19, 1973. They knew they were soul mates as soon as they met and over 51 years later still felt the same way.
He has lived in many places as a youth as his father was in the military: Guam; Moscow, Idaho; Myrtle Beach, South Carolina; Mesa, Arizona; and finally Newport News, Virginia. After Barbara and him were married they lived in Orem, Utah; Cedar City, Utah; Ashland, Ore.; Eagle Point, Ore.; Medford, Ore.; Kanab, Utah; and finally ended up in Santaquin, Utah, for the last few years.
Craig loved adventure and was always up for camping, boating, off-roading, road trips and even cruises. He loved to see and experience as many different things as possible. You could never call his life boring.
Craig was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served as bishop's executive secretary, clerking positions, Primary teacher, Elders Quorum President, High Priest Group Leader, bishop's counselor, Stake High Councilor and many other callings.
He leaves a legacy behind as he moves forward. Children: Chet Richard Hansen (Amy), Shanna Hansen (Brent Tolbert), Thomas Craig Hansen (Aubrie), Cynthia Hansen Child, Robert Sterling Hansen (Kylie), along with his 21 grandchildren, and he has now joined his grandson Colton who preceded him.
Funeral services will be held at the Santaquin Stake Center, 50 South 500 West, on January 18, 2025, at 10 a.m. Interment will be at the Mayfield Cemetery in Mayfield, Utah, under the direction of Mosdell Mortuary.
