Marcia Frankel, age 75, passed away at home Monday, March 2, 2026, in Bellingham, Washington. She was born on September 2, 1950, in Elkins Park, Pa., to Rose and Max Frankel.

Marcia spent the earlier years of her life as a special education teacher in Pennsyl­vania and New Jer­sey. Marcia changed careers and became a Registered Nurse where she worked for 22 years in Pennsylva­nia and Virginia and finally Kanab, Utah, where she moved in 1999.

She worked for Southern Utah Home Care and Hospice in Kanab. Marcia also loved and worked at Best Friends Animal Sanctuary for many years. She moved to Bellingham, WA in 2015. Marcia is survived by her brother-in-law Bart Withstandley of Penn Valley, PA, nephew Peter (Jane) Withstandley and their daughter Blair, nephew Oliver (Patricia) Withstandley and many cousins and friends. She is pre-ceded in death by her parents, sister Harriet Withstandley, grand-parents and many aunts and uncles.
