Laurel Roberts Frost - our wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and friend - passed away on September 30, 2026 after a brief battle with cancer.

Laurel was born in Salt Lake City, Utah on November 19, 1959, to Howard LaVarr Roberts, Jr. and Laura Jo Phelps Roberts. She was the second of eight children born to the family. Laurel spent her early years in Mesa, Arizona and later Kanab, Utah, where she graduated high school in 1977. She attended Brigham Young University and married Jeffrey Mack Frost on August 17, 1979. Five children joined their home. After graduating with a degree in English in 1985, she and her family lived in several different places, the longest being nearly 30 years at their home in Hurricane, Utah.

Laurel was involved in many religious, community and service organizations throughout her life. In addition to extensive church service, she was also involved in Cub Scouting and Habitat for Humanity. She was a CASA volunteer and supported efforts to help expectant mothers keep their babies. Her favorite volunteer work was being a chorister for Primary children at church.

She was involved with many kinds of arts throughout her life. Laurel played the piano, wrote hymn texts and enjoyed working with composers to create music. She was a gifted writer and an avid reader. She enjoyed scrapbooking and created pottery that she shared with her family and friends.

An exceptionally kind and patient person, Laurel had a gift to listen to others. She had a fun and playful sense of humor. She loved and sacrificed greatly for her family. She was a person of deep religious devotion and wanted her whole life to glorify Jesus. Her calming and edifying presence was a strength to those around her.
