You’ve noticed the days and nights are cooling off, the leaves are giving us their final burst of color and we are anticipating our two favorite holidays. Having been preempted in 2020 by COVID-19, the Symphony of the Canyons, celebrating its 38th year, is more excited than usual to announce our annual Christmas festival, which provides funding for our yearly operations.
This year we are pleased to announce the full-length production of Tchaikovsky’s famous ballet Nutcracker, in collaboration with Natalie Barney’s Studio 12 and Jenna Corry’s Red Rock Dance Academy. Over 100 aspiring young dancers will be taking the stage accompanied by our Symphony of the Canyons. This may be the first time in the history of our area that a complete production has been done with costumes, professional scenery, live music and, of course, the Nutcracker.
There will be two performances on December 10 and 11, 2021, at 7 p.m., at the Kanab High School auditorium. Tickets will be priced at $15 for adults and $5 for youth up to 18-years old. They may be purchased online at symphonyofthecanyons.org, and in person at Zion Pharmacy and at the door.
Don’t delay in reserving your seat, as large audiences are anticipated.
We are going to have our annual Christmas festival on Saturday, December 4, 2021, from 9:30 a.m. - 4 p.m., at the Kanab Middle School. There will be vendors, food, entertainment, opportunity baskets for drawings and much more.
Vendors should contact email@example.com.
There will be a dinner on Friday, December 10, at the Kanab Center, catered by Sego, with live music - details will be forthcoming.
Thanks to all of our wonderful businesses, we will be conducting another silent auction, as we did in 2020.
Plan to be a part of this long-running event, which kicks off the Christmas season in our area. Come and support the Symphony of the Canyons.
