It's Apple Festival time in Glendale
Glendale is in festivity mode, as the upcoming Apple Festival will be held on Friday and Saturday, September 23-24.
On Friday, a dinner will be served at the town park. Please bring a potluck dish and enjoy the Dutch oven meat and potatoes. Kids games will begin at 5:30 p.m. Later, The Baker Bunch will be playing some fun dance music. The same evening, one of our great citizens will be honored.
On Saturday, booths will be open to the public. The vendors will be set up on the Bauer RV lawn on Main Street. Apple pies, snow cones, cotton candy, and Navajo tacos to name a few yummy foods will be available, along with other crafts and sale items. Come on out and enjoy the festival.
The William Tell Archery Shoot will be held on Saturday. For more information, contact Roger Chamberlain at 648-2324. Anyone interested in selling wares, please call Caroleen at the same number
A family yard sale will be held on Saturday. It is a multi-family yard sale held on a back street at 65 North 100 East, a block behind the country store. Come check out the four-wheelers, a horse-drawn wagon, truck bed trailer, camp trailer, cedar shingles and building supplies, tools and other good things at a great price. There will also be a buckskin gelding in the corral for sale.
You can also find lots of clothes, kitchen tools, home decor, home-grown vegetables, and baked goods. Tomatoes, onions and other fresh vegetables are ready for market. Come on down to Glendale and enjoy the day.
