I watched a Christmas Angel,
As she tip-toed through the snow.
Was she the one who praised Him
On that night so long ago?
I saw her smile so sweetly,
As she spoke so kind and mild.
Was she the one who sang so sweet
Beside the new born Child?
I watched her sunny countenance,
Her radiating glow.
Was she the one the shepherds heard
On that night so long ago?
I felt her warmth and goodness
Filled with Christmas joy and cheer.
Was she the one who watched Him die,
And wiped away His tear?
Oh, yes I saw an Angel
As she tip-toed through the snow.
She could have been a replica
Of the one so long ago.
