At the Panguitch Invitational Youth Baseball tournament this past weekend, Kanab was represented in the championship game in every age division.

The 10U team, coached by Travis Capson and Kade Glazier, lost a very close, hard fought battle against a very good Enterprise team. The game was back and forth with Enterprise taking a lead, and the Cowboys regaining the lead late in the game, and then Enterprise edging them out to win it by one run.

The 11U team, coached by Jake Ramsey and Tony Baird, played up an age level in the 12U bracket, and went undefeated in pool play to face the Kanab 12U team in the championship game, coached by Dave Virostko, Mark Kabonic and Nate Lyman.

It was all Kanab folks in the audience to watch the late night game in Panguitch, as the 12U team prevailed. Both teams played great teams from Cedar City, Richfield, Piute, Enterprise, Milford and Panguitch in order reach the championship game.

The 14U Team, coached by Michael East and Casey Glover, also won a very close championship game against Milford Saturday night. Griffin Bone pitched a great game, with Kale Glover closing it out to win it for Kanab, 5-4.

Each team took home either a championship hat, or runner-up hat. Panguitch may think twice before inviting the Red and White next year.
