The Kanab Film Festival, presented by the Love Kanab Show, kicks off this week June 4-6, with a full schedule of events, including a filmmaker only workshop, Directing Talent, with award-winning international producer/director/writer Jefferson Richard, a local Kanab celebrity.

The Festival will screen 38 original films from around the globe during six movie blocks over the course of three days at the Kanab Center, which will be transformed into an outdoor movie theatre.

Festival attendees can also participate in a historical photography tour sponsored by Terry’s Camera Shop or go on a guided nature hike at Jackson Flat Reservoir.

Also included in the three-day pass are four other amazing workshops to include: iPhone Filmmaking 101 with Jay Edwards (editor and filmmaker; Adult Swim, Disney, Netflix); Intro to Acting with Colin Cunningham (Stargate SG-1, Falling Skies); Intro to Screenwriting with award-winning screenwriter and local Kanabian, Heidi Stangeland; and What Does a Producer Do with Jefferson Richard.

The Festival is also going digital this year, so you can opt to attend the Fest in the comfort of your own home. Tickets for the online festival are at a discounted rate, and can be found at kanabfilm.com.

Three-day and single-day passes to attend the Fest at the Kanab Center are still available and can also be found at kanabfilm.com.

Festival organizers Britt and Jeff Roth are incredibly humbled by the support they have received by the community, especially during this difficult time, and are excited to bring everyone together to celebrate the arts.

The Kanab Fest is dedicated to keeping Kanab’s film making legacy alive. We will see you at the movies!
