Terra Vista Properties is fortunate to welcome veteran business woman and new real estate licensee, Shanell Heely as a full service Realtor ®.

For over 30 years, Heely’s business background took her throughout the U.S. Her first decade included Kanab and Fredonia, where she and her husband, Ray, fulfilled trucking contracts for Energy Fuels Nuclear.

“This was my favorite place to live,” reports Heely, who managed their home office while raising her two sons.

After the mines closed, her next venture was to start an auction company where she co-managed and did the company marketing, along with web and database design. They auctioned livestock and land auctions throughout Utah, Idaho, Oklahoma and Nebraska.

Her second decade involved a family move to Missouri where they ran a ranch business which included operation of two livestock sale barns, while continuing regular, exotic sales and estate auctions.

Heely’s more recent ventures include property management and construction work. She can assist home buyers and builders with everything from new build to remodel work.

Prior to returning to Kanab, the Heelys assisted in the reconstruction of the homes destroyed by the devastating tornado that hit Joplin, Missouri, in 2011. She became experienced in flipping houses and working with cash investors to turn the improved properties for resale. “There were a lot of distressed properties after the F5 tornado. I helped market these and did showings so we could turn them around asap,” adds Heely.

Two years later, a property management position became available at Lazy Days Apartments that she and Roy accepted.

“I was so happy to come back to Kanab, Utah! It was like coming home,” exclaims Heely with enthusiasm. Her management skills and reports have earned accolades from the owners.

If your real estate needs include land, ranching, home construction, remodeling or property management, be sure and call Shanell Heely.

Speaking of Terra Vista Properties, Heely reports, “I think we can hit the road running with this business for sure! It’s an exciting new chapter in my life. We will have lots of work and some fun along the way!”
