Is life stressing you? Why don’t you just have a shot ... an immunity booster shot (IBS), that is! Asava Juice and Smoothies are serving up two IBS, and offer a full menu of organic cold-pressed juices and organic fresh smoothies!

Located at 176 South 100 East in Kanab (behind Wild Thyme), Nicole Massengale and staff are serving up some delicious and healthy drinks.

What about trying organic cold-pressed juices, like an “I Am Worthy” – with carrot, apple, lemon and ginger; or “I Am Strong” – containing cucumber, celery, kale, ginger, lemon, cilantro, parsley and mint.

The five organic fresh smoothies have no pre-mixes, artificial sweeteners or colors. What about a “Coral Pink” – with strawberry, banana, coconut mylk, tocos and maple syrup; or a “Desert Sky” – including banana, mango, almond and coconut mylk, hemp seed, coconut oil, vanilla bean and blue majik?

Owner Nicole and her chiropractor husband Mike have three children – Michael, 19, Gabriella, 17, and Aliya, 14. They moved back to their Kane County roots five years ago.

Nicole is a licensed massage therapist at Amangiri Resort, as well as being yoga certified and a certified Integrative Health Coach. She is also a volunteer with the Women’s Wellness Group and Mom’s Morning Out.

“I love juice and fresh vegetables,” said Nicole. “I wanted a place like this. I wanted to offer something the town needed.”

And everyone would be impressed with Nicole Massengale’s inspiration for starting Asava. While growing up in an early environment that stressed healthy foods and vegetables, “I learned more about the health benefits after recovering from a bacterial meningitis coma. I had to change my diet and got involved with yoga.”

Asava’s hours are Monday-Thursday from 9 a.m.-5 p.m.; Fridays and Saturdays from 9 a.m.-8 p.m. The phone number is 435-644-2637 and e-mail address is asavajuice@gmail.com.
