The Paria River District of the Boy Scouts of America recognized 17 outstanding young men who had been awarded the honor of Eagle Scout at a recent awards banquet. As part of the banquet activities, the Eagle Scout projects of each Eagle was highlighted.

The impact of these projects is impressive. The projects included hundreds of volunteers who collectively donated over 1400 hours of their time. Financial contributions to the projects was in excess of $7000. The projects were accomplished in Alton, Glendale, Orderville, Fredonia and Kanab.

Those in attendance at the banquet were inspired by keynote speaker, Harry Barber, to set their goals high and start working now to make them become a reality. He said achieving the rank of Eagle Scout was a great start in the process of accomplishing something truly meaningful. 

The leadership of the Paria River District would like to express their appreciation to all who helped these young men accomplish this great milestone in their young lives.
