Live Irish music and dancing at Juniper Ridge
Kicking off the celebrations for St. Patrick’s Day weekend, Juniper Ridge Restaurant is hosting a community and family focused Cultural Celebration on Friday, March 15, with live Irish music and dance.
Musicians Russell Wulfenstein, Lyndsey Wulfenstein, Josh Baird and Byron Owens will be performing traditional Irish songs. Irish dance instructors Lyndsey Wulfenstein and Tim Clarke will be leading attendees in some nice and easy Irish community dances.
Lyndsey Wulfenstein was a world dance instructor at BYU for six years and also taught at the Shelley School of Irish Dance in Provo. Her husband, Russell, frequently plays fiddle for Irish dance competitions. Together they have performed in 16 countries and throughout much of the United States. They frequently perform a variety of folk music styles with Josh Baird in the band American Train. Byron Owens will join the ensemble on percussion. Tim Clarke was a dance instructor in Irish pubs when he lived in Ireland.
This community dance on Friday night will be relaxing and informal. The event starts at 7 p.m. and will run until 9 p.m. Free admission. Come hungry, wearing green, and ready to kick up your heels! Please note this event will take place in the downstairs/restaurant area of Juniper Ridge, just three miles south of Kanab.
