Tyler and I have always felt very fortunate that we are able to raise our family in the same town that we were both raised in. We have also felt very blessed that both of our parents still live here and have been able to be active role models in our kids’ lives. I love that our kids have all participated in the same kindergarten circus as we did, roamed the same halls, sat in the same classrooms, drove the same streets, played on the same fields and created the same memories as we once have.
I’m sure at times we have all felt the limitations of living in such a small rural area, but I am also positive we have ALL felt the army of people that open their hearts and their resources in a time of need. I don’t think we could ever forgive ourselves if we didn’t take the time to express our gratitude and appreciation for EACH and EVERYONE OF YOU!
In the blink of an eye, our lives were completely flipped upside down, and before we could even process what was happening, you all stepped in to help carry us. From prayers and fasting, kind words of encouragement and sympathy, gifts dropped off at the door and to the hospital rooms, meals and groceries, eggs to throw, fundraisers that touched more than just our hearts but the community as a whole, warm hugs, shaved heads, Keep Calm and Maya on shirts everywhere, donations, anonymous donations, hard work, time and honestly there is so much more we don’t know if we will ever comprehend the magnitude of what has been done on our behalf.
What we do know is that we will ALWAYS and FOREVER be humbled by your giving hands and huge hearts. We are so blessed to live here, to raise our family here and to know each and every one of you. THANK YOU!
