Long Valley FFA Deer Hunter's Ball
The Long Valley FFA is excited to sponsor and commemorate 75 plus years of the annual Deer Hunter’s Ball! Some old timers have reported attending the ball right after WWII. Others reported a Mr. Andersen started it even before that. The exact year is unknown, but nonetheless, the Deer Hunter’s Ball has been a long-time tradition at Valley High School, and we hope for many more years to come.
We want to give a huge shout out to all of the businesses that have donated and supported the FFA all these years. Thank you.
As part of the commemoration, we will be giving away a Henry Golden Boy lever action, octagon barrel, chromed out 30-30 rifle, and a bonus .22 Henry rifle. The winners will be announced at the ball on October 19, at the old gym at Valley High. Doors open at 5:30 p.m., dinner and concessions, provided by the Valley FCCLA, will be available at 6 p.m., and door prize drawings will begin at 7 p.m. sharp. So come on over for a great evening.
We will also be celebrating the combined 50 years of service at Valley High provided by Doran Lamb and Dellas Sorensen as Vocational Educators and FFA Advisers. There will be a special recognition and presentation for them that night.
We want to give a special thanks from the Long Valley FFA officer team, and look forward to a great year: President- Ashley Spencer, Vice President- Whitley Cox, Secretary- Ashlynn Spencer, Treasurer- Stetson Harris, Reporter- Jael Chamberlain, Sentinel- Clay Cox, Historian- Shayla Spencer, and Chaplain- Esther Cox.
